Delivery time within Germany: Fixed dates
Course leader: Kirsten Heuschen
Take part in this beginner's course and learn the basics of blue printing in just one day.
Blue printing, also called cyanotype, is a historical photographic technique with beautiful cyan tones.
During the workshop we will work with (non-toxic) photo chemistry and teach all the basics of this simple and fascinating technique.
Expose photo templates and objects - it's all about playing with light and light-sensitive materials, the essential basics of photography.
At the end of the course, you will have created many of your own blueprints and will be able to continue working with the technique on your own in the future.
The workshop is led by Kirsten Heuschen. She works as a visual artist with experimental photography, and the workshop takes place in her studio with a beautiful view of the Spree. It is located in Schöneweide and is part of an industrial monument.
Duration: 5 hours plus approx. 45 minutes break
(If only one person has registered for the respective date, the course duration will be reduced to 3 hours)
Location: In Kirsten Heuschen’s studio in Berlin Schöneweide with a view of the Spree
Number of participants: small group with up to 5 people .
Dates

Kusinfos
Please bring: A large selection of photographic images and objects are available for exposure. However, you are also welcome to bring your own objects and images.
Image templates must be printed on tracing paper or foil.
They must be black and white and inverted, which means you need a negative!
The size ratio is 1:1 (a DIN A4 template results in a DIN A4 image, etc.). The contrast of the motifs should be relatively high. In the copy shop you can ask them to make the printout as dark as possible (like for screen printing).
For printing yourself, we recommend our Solarfast or Fotospeed printing films.
Level: For beginners
Language: German and English
