Analog image retouching, as well as the subsequent colorization of black and white photos with retouching colors, is a craft that requires a little practice, patience and an understanding of the materials used.
In this course you will learn:
- Theoretical introduction and practical basics of analog image retouching
- What materials are needed
- Using and mixing colors
- Correction of white pixels by applying egg white glaze.
- Correction of black pixels by spot bleaching and subsequent retouching
- Introduction to coloring black and white photographs with egg white glazes
- Many practical tips and tricks
Please bring:
If available, please bring your own images of what needs retouching, or examples of your previous attempts.
To complement the course, we recommend our Diaphoto retouching paints from Rohrer & Klingner, Davinci Restauro retouching brushes in size 3/0, and a ceramic palette for mixing colors.
Should you require retouching materials after the course, we have a selection of suitable items available on site.
