In this course, we will look at some advanced techniques for the black and white darkroom that should help you improve your workflow and get the most out of your images.
The following topics will be covered:
Selenium toning
Selenium toning can enhance the depth of a print, thereby improving brilliance and the impression of spatial depth. Depending on the application and dilution, a selenium toner is also suitable for improving archival stability or for color tinting.
Sepia brown tone
The browning of black and white prints using bleach and sepia sulfur toner is a popular method for subsequently altering the color of black and white images.
Brightening of image areas through Farmer's attenuation (Liquid Sunshine)
This method allows you to brighten overly gray highlights and specifically improve the brilliance of the image.
Course information
Materials: Paper (PE paper) and photochemicals are included in the price.
Please bring the negatives you wish to enlarge to the course date.
Duration: approx. 6 hours

Analog darkroom courses for beginners or advanced students in the personal darkroom of our founder Marc Stache.
Pick-up from the train stations in Vlotho, Bad Oeynhausen or Minden can be arranged upon agreement.

- Cancellation up to 30 days before the course starts: full refund
- Up to 14 days before the course starts: 50% cancellation fee
- Less than 14 days before the course starts: 100% cancellation fee
