The Kinetronics StaticVac is our recommendation for professional use in film scanning.

The anti-static film cleaner works with an electronic bipolar ionization system. This direct current system generates positive and negative ions.

These neutralize all the electrostatic charges carried by the dirty film strip. Dust and lint are largely removed by the soft anti-static brushes. The fan takes care of the rest, sucking the dirt into the built-in filter. This way, all contaminants remain in the device.

Care tips

• For regular maintenance, the ionization system can be folded out and cleaned with a cotton swab.
• If the surface is heavily soiled, the four anti-static brushes can be easily removed and washed out with a mild shampoo
• After washing, it is recommended to carefully comb out the fibers
