processing instructions
- In order for the cyanotype solution to adhere well to the surface, the wooden plate must first be pre-coated with a 5% gelatin solution, e.g. our ADOX Coating Gelatin.
- After drying, you can apply the chemicals and then expose them after further drying.
development/washing and drying
- To prevent the wood from swelling too much, do not soak it for too long or with too much water. It is best to place the wooden board with the image surface facing down in cold water for about 10 minutes to develop. Then rinse carefully with running water for another 1-2 minutes. Carefully dab off any moisture with a cloth and lay the wooden board out to dry.
