If you want to ensure that presented photographs and prints remain permanently flat in their picture frames, we recommend mounting the pictures on a stable surface such as museum cardboard or aluminum plates.
A recommended method without the need for expensive hot laminating equipment is the tried and tested Gudy cold adhesive films.
use
- Cut a piece of adhesive film slightly larger than the image to be glued from the roll.
- Peel off the silicone paper on one side of the adhesive film.
- Place the photo with one narrow side on the adhesive surface and slowly roll the image onto it.
- Any excess film can be trimmed together with the image.
- Then remove the silicone paper from the back and place the image with one narrow side on the carrier material to be glued
- Slowly roll over it and press/paint it.
This procedure requires some practice and since the film sticks very quickly and then cannot be removed, it is recommended to practice with test images when using it for the first time.
Tip: To help with even and bubble-free bonding, we recommend using our Neschen Filrakel.
