Photospeed Antique Dye

Colorant for analogue photo paper (PE and baryta) to artificially create the nostalgic look of an aged and yellowed photo.

In contrast to sepia or sulphur toners, this dye does not react chemically with the image silver, but rather dyes the entire photo paper, including the image white, yellowish to brownish. The colour tone depends on the type of paper used, the mixing ratio and the time spent in the dye bath.

Dilution:

1+9 to 1+29

Content: 100ml

Instructions for use

• Image for about 3 minutes in the solution with constant movement
  You can do this with a freshly developed and rinsed print, or with an older photo print.
• Carefully wipe off excess liquid (e.g. with a sponge cloth)
• DO NOT WASH afterwards! (The color would be washed out)
• Lay flat to dry

To avoid skin irritation, use photo paper tongs or our nitrile protective gloves.
