Introduction to black and white film development
Course instructor: Jochen Rohner
Jochen Rohner is part of the so-called old school: he has been photographing with film for well over forty years. His path led him from his architecture studies in Aachen, via his photo studio, also in Aachen, to his own photo lab in Berlin Mitte.
Since 2001 he has been based on Ackerstrasse and specializes in the black and white sector within analog photography.
In this laboratory course you will learn everything you need to be able to develop black and white films independently afterwards.
Course content:
- Market overview and differences between available film types
- Choosing the right film for every occasion
- Choosing the right developer
- Advice for film development in the home lab
- Developing my own film
- Scans of the developed film (using camera scanning)
Includes photochemicals and negative sleeves.
Please bring one exposed black and white film per person (not Ilford XP2 or Kodak BW 400CN!) to the workshop.
