This course covers everything about creating photograms on photographic paper, both in theory and practice.
We explore the wonderful and creative potential of this method to produce analog and photographic images WITHOUT a negative.
A great and vast field to experiment artistically in the darkroom.
Course Content
What is a photogram?
Overview of photochemistry/photographic paper and choosing the right materials for your image idea.
Technical implementation for a photogram
Correct handling and processing of photographic paper
Creation of your own photograms during the course
All darkroom materials needed for the course are included in the price and will be provided. We will work on RC paper up to a size of 24x30cm.
Course participants are welcome to bring their own craft materials and templates for their photogram ideas.

Location: Butzlab-Photolab by Kira Enss in Hamburg
Number of participants: As a single course or for two people who register together.

Since 2005, Kira Enss has been operating the analog photo laboratory Butzlab in Hamburg, where she creates analog silver gelatin prints for exhibitions, art fairs, collections, and archives, as well as photographic editions.
