The 33 album pages are held together by means of sturdy, rust-proof bookbinding screws.
The use of screws allows individual album pages to be removed or extended.
To protect against dirt, the outside pages are covered with colored linen. A neutral, acid-free glue is used for the cover. The inner covers and the album pages are made of natural white photo archive cardboard (300g/m²). The special feature here is that this cellulose cardboard does not contain any basic buffering, thus eliminating the risk of a possible chemical reaction with the emulsion in color photo prints.
The cardboard has been successfully PAT tested. Unbuffered glassine paper is used as an intermediate layer.
To fix the photo prints, we recommend our archival-safe photo corners, which allow flexible placement of the prints.
Direct contact between photo prints and adhesive is avoided.
