Coating gelatine for pre-coating surfaces such as wood, fabric or paper before coating with liquid photo emulsion or fine art printing solutions (cyanotype, argyrotype, etc.).
Absorbent surfaces such as wood, fabric and paper can be pre-coated with it to reduce the consumption of emulsion and improve the adhesion of the actual photo emulsion.
According to the manufacturer, the gelatine is also suitable as a gloss aid for hot drying of baryta paper. Simply put it in a photo tray and pull the paper through it before drying, let it drip off and squeeze it onto the glossy film.
Content: 250 grams
Instructions for use
The highly pure, chemically inactive casting gelatin can be used in daylight.
To dissolve it, stir 40-80 grams into 1 liter of 40 degree warm water without any lumps. If you can afford it, use a magnetic stirrer on a heated plate. Alternatively, you can put a container in a pot full of water and heat the water.
