For exposure of cyanotypes, Solarfast inks, screen printing and all other analogue UV-sensitive fine printing processes.
So that you are not solely dependent on the power of the sun when exposing cyanotypes, Solarfast colors, or screen printing, we have put together suitable light sets for exposing UV-sensitive materials.
The kit contains
- 1x UV exposure lamp OSRAM Ultra Vitalux 300W
- 1x lamp reflector with ceramic socket
(Brand: Lucky Reptile Thermo Socket plus Reflector, WEEE Reg. No. DE 64679910)
- 1x strain relief for hanging the lamp reflector on the tripod
- 1x tripod with suspension
- 1x UV protective glasses
- 1x instructions in German and English
Maximum exposure height (distance lamp to paper) through tripod extension: 33-67cm
Suitable for exposing papers (or other materials) up to a size of approximately A3.
For larger formats, we recommend using 2 of these lamps or the JOBO Artisan UV exposure unit for even illumination.
Operating instructions
The UV lamp used is a so-called metal halide lamp.
After being switched off, such lamps require about 10 minutes to cool down before they can be lit again.

Safety instructions
Avoid looking directly into the light source. If possible, leave the room during the UV exposure period.
We recommend using our UV protective glasses when using this lamp.
One pair of glasses is included in the set, additional UV protection glasses are optionally available in our shop.
Due to the high heat they generate, the lamps may only be used in suitable luminaires. The lamps must also be protected from moisture and splash water. If used improperly, UV radiation can cause sunburn and conjunctivitis.
Not approved for use on persons according to the new edition of EN 60335-2-27.
