Solargraphy combines photography with astronomy by making it possible to capture the course of the sun’s trajectories on photographic paper.
The light of the sun moving over the horizon burns itself onto the light-sensitive photo paper through a continuous exposure inside the pinhole camera. The continuous extreme exposure causes a chemical reaction on the photo paper, without the need for development in a photo lab, which stimulates the image silver and creates a negative image. Even if the paper used is black and white photo paper, the extreme exposure has the surprising effect of creating unpredictable colors.
