Fineprint developer for producing cold to bluish-black image tones.
The intensity of the bluish-black image tone depends on the paper used.
The strongest effect is achieved with Ilford FB Cooltone paper, but even pronounced warm tone papers develop relatively cold, combined with maximum blackness.
The effect can be further enhanced by adding the Finisher Blue additive.
Recipe change: As of 2023, this developer is also hydroquinone-free; its effectiveness has not changed.
