Elegant cardboard replica of one of those magic lanterns that can project images.
From the 17th century until the beginning of the cinema age, the magic lantern made an incredibly strong impression on spectators in fairground stalls, salons and children's rooms. Until the triumph of the slide and film projector in the last century, the "magic lantern" was the only way to project moving images. The principle of its construction has not changed since then, except that the images are now captured photographically and the light comes from an electric light bulb.
Fully functional, die-cut cardboard model with elegant gold print
The kit comes complete with electric lighting, 3 acrylic glass lenses and the Wilhelm Busch picture strip "The Clever Rat".
