Opaque (non-transparent) negative sleeves made of archival paper.
One of the best quality options for storing negatives safely and for the long term. The breathable paper sleeves with side binding combine all the important advantages of storing photographic materials in a way that is appropriate for conservation. Paper can absorb and release air humidity in a self-regulating manner, so that the risk of a harmful microclimate within the sleeves cannot arise in the first place.
The archival paper used is made from 100% pure cellulose fibers. It is pH neutral (approx. 7.0), unbuffered (without the addition of calcium carbonate), neutrally sized and contains no optical brighteners.
The average kappa number (proportion of woody fibers) is 2.
Since the archival paper pockets are somewhat stiffer than glassine paper, for example, a strip of archival cardboard is included, which can be used to pre-stretch the sleeves a little before inserting the negatives.
